Anyone know what might be the issue here?
Been trying to play Arma 2 OA for a while now, and it runs fine and everything but the screen is what I can only describe as fuzzy and grainy. Normal ARMA 2 looks fine.
When the game boots up my monitor kind of resets where it turns black for a few seconds and goes to the grainy fuzz which is only cured when exiting or Alt + Tabbing out of the game, which the monitors "resets" again.
It's almost like watching a VHS tape on a 1080p television.

Change your video settings to 100% resolution so it matches your screen.

any chance you pirated the game?
I remember ArmA having quite funny reactions to that

change ingame resolution to your native monitors resolution
Have you tried installing Gentoo? It has excellent support for playing games.
