On trying to boot my PC this morning it never got to Windows, and instead flashed a bunch of underscores along the bottom of the screen until what looked like a spade unicode symbol appeared. After going into the BIOS my secondary hard drive was somehow first in the boot order. Changed it back to the boot drive and after booting Windows, it doesn't even recognize the secondary drive.

What's causing this? Is my drive just dead, or is it a virus?
