Same specs as you op, even upgraded to a 1070. Yes, it will run fine, may dip below 60 sometimes but it's just a matter of reducing Hairworks AA (or turning it off entirely)

Yes, running it at 4.5ghz right now. It's still a pretty good cpu, imo not worth upgrading to skylake since you'll have to get a new cpu+mobo+ddr4 for modest gains on cpu intensive titles.

What you can do with minimal cost is buying a faster ram and maybe a 3770k if you have use for ht.
