I bought a fully functional x200 thinkpad for $60 shipped.

It was fully clean and came with the battery and AC adapter.
I use it as my main dev machine, 10/10 would buy again

For the same reason that incandescent lightbulbs and vacuum tubes don't exist anymore.
They slurp electricity, produce tons of heat, and require replacement on a regular basis.
