Looks like somebody is still living in the 90's... Here in 2016 most major systems that get infected with malware get infected not because of flaws in the software, but rather flaws in how the software is set up. You'd be amazed at how often you see systems in production environments still using factory default passwords or ones that can actually be brute forced.

A brief skim reveals that it mostly targets embedded and poorly maintained shit. Mainly by guessing ssh passwords on servers with stuff like '1234' as the password.
Even then, it doesn't escalate privileges or anything, so it shouldn't be hard to remove.
