Get a raspberry pi. It's the same shit for a 1/4th the price. No matter what you get it'll only be good for streaming from a NAS.

if you want a media center get raspberry and openelec, kodi works way better on my raspberry pi than my laptop. but if you install ubuntu/raspbian you wouldn't be able to watch 720p videos. If you need a complete computer, that stick is probably best choice

I have a refurb lelnovo slim form factor PC hooked up to my TV instead. It's just as cheap as the intel stick and 10 times faster, more expandable and actually has room for a smaller GPU (I put a GT 730 in mine)
