fedora tries to be free of that stuff

but it's funny since the patents in question have expired sometime this year.

freetype2 has already implemented subpixel hinting recently (since revoked in order to put it in a major update)

things render exactly like they do in windows now. My renderer's gamma is set a tad lower than in windows, so you might notice some fuzziness in favor of less jaggedness. It's all subjective.

Ditch fedora

The fonts are alright until you load up webpages. They don't have any of the fonts webpages seem to use so they end up looking funky as hell.
