Hey /g/uys, I just got a letter in the mail from my ISP saying it is my fifth strike for being flagged by their Copyright Alert System and told me if I do not dispute it they will turn off my internet for a day.
What do you think I should do or say to them? The stupidly minor penalty of no internet for a day is not a big deal, I do occasionally go outside. Even though I am moving into a new apartment next month I would still like to dispute or remove the strike because it is on my step-mother's account.
Any advice?

and make sure your browser isn't leaking more than a cheap hookers vagina.
1. Get a VPN. (a cheap one is PIA, 40$/year)(totally not part of it)
2. Use firefox and use vpnleak.net
3. get a seed box.. either rent one or buy a raspberry pi and seed off of that
>inb4 nice rpi seed box lolzors ^.^
4. ???????????????

woops,
ipleak.net and dnsleaktest.com
slept 2 hours
>live in Canada
>the most that will happen is your ISP will send you an email saying someone complained
>ISP will do fuck all
>government doesn't give a shit either
feels good

Why use a seed box? Should I not seed from my computer?
>>55873484
general reasons:
the seedbox isn't traced back to you
it's in a data centre and you get LULZ SPEED for the actual downloads (and also LULZ UPLOAD if maintaining a seeding ratio is important
>inb4 retards who buy seedboxes with their own credit card info
>>55873534
Thanks for the info, I'll definitely look into one after I am set up with a VPN.
Also, does anyone know how the CAS works? does it sniff packets or did I get honey potted by a torrent (TV shows)?
>>55873643
desu unless you're like hardcore you probably don't need a seedbox.
just a well configured vpn should shield you from 99.9% of trolling
how can I set up a free VPN to avoid getting these kind of things?

>Free VPN
Why would anyone give you a free VPN?
>>55873352
Thanks, this is a lot of data to digest. Do you have any recommendations for particular group of VPNs or traits I should focus more on?
>>55874252
Focus on a VPN which is torrent friendly and cheap - that's it.

Best way is just to call their shit
Cancel service and simply restart it later that day
