If I had to use AMD, then yes, I would be.

But since I can also use Intel, and there's Kaby Lake coming soon, not really, no. Amd have proven repeatedly they can't do anything with similar power usage and low temps. Not excited at all. My i5-6600k will probably beat it too, seeing as i5-2500k defeats their best FX CPU.

I have abandoned hope for AMD CPUs and I think most other people have as well. Having low expectations is probably best off for AMD. If they make a CPU that competes with i3-low/mid range i5s for cheaper then they would to OK

life has shown that if something gets hyped then it will turn out to be pretty bad.

Still on my trusty Phenom II 965. Hope it at least exceeds its performance...

Meh...not happening until next year. So who gives a shit. Will probably just pick up an fx 8350 or something.

Likewise. I have zero expectations except that it will outperform my Phenom II 940 to the extent that it justifies me buying a new motherboard and RAM to go with it.
