How is this anyone's problem, and why does anyone have to use the same software and hardware as this self-important individual?

Just because he has his own requirements of a computer doesn't mean everyone else shares them or shares the same need as his preferred OS provides him.

Linux is great for my personal nature of usage of the computer. It has better performance than Windows, i can customize it any way i want to be pleasing to my eyes to alleviate visual tiredness when i'm spending time reading shitloads of books and managing them on my desktop environment,
it is a desktop OS without any touchscreen elements like in Windows irritating me,
and i can browse the Internet securely since most of the malicious shit on the Internet is geared towards Windows and doesn't work on Linux.
Others have their own reasons to use Windows like specific software or gaming, or OS X for programmers, and i can respect that.
But this guy just comes off as a small person with emotional restraint that never grew as it should have following puberty.

I fully understand what you're talking about. I'm a Linux user and FOSS advocate. I've seen what free software can do in production and with mainstream support it would probably get much better than the current proprietary offerings on the long term.

The thing is, no software this complex comes without extensive training. And content producers do NOT want to retrain, ever. They fucking hate it. They won't do it unless there's a very important or pressing reason for them to do so. And it also happens they don't care about software freedom.

So until FOSS becomes the standard in both education and industry, or until Adobe and Autodesk (etc) fully support Linux, we're stuck with this self fulfilling prophecy.

It is something that will take time to happen. I would love to use a Linux distro and only have things there that I would actually use instead of the bloatware crap that is Windows. To clear the command prompt in windows I type cls. To clear the terminal in linux I type clear. As a native English speaker I find actual words easier to remember than some three letter gibberish.
