Windows is an enterprise operating system. It exists solely because of businesses who need Office for their Exchange server and who need Group Polity to keep they puny worker ants under control. There is literally nothing about Windows (besides 8/10) that is aimed at a desktop user at home, we just all got it force fed to us when there were much better alternatives right in front of us.

Running Windows on your desktop at home is like keeping your socks and underwear folded neatly in a filing cabinet and sitting in a cubicle to play your silly games. Stop acting like basic functionality is as good as something can get and move to an operating system that's actually comfortable to use.

Patrician tier is ONLY Windows on PC but iOs or Android on the phone, since iOs has superior ram management and speed compared to any android device (sadly). Androids versatility is slightly broader, but not by much, but the Android phones have better cameras and cheaper memory. This is coming from an ex-hardcore android user, my phone pretty much was a second pocket Pc for me, still is but through apps on iOs. And if you buy a mac or windowns phone youre retarded.

No, I was just saying that my PRIMARY complaint with Windows was that it wasn't focused towards home users, but Windows 8 and 10 certainly aren't targeted at enterprise users, so they were exempt from that particular complaint.

The problems with Windows 8 and 10 run much deeper, he just stated his question as "Why (other than 8/10?" so I felt I should state that those were actually not my main complaint.

But no, 8 and 10 are terrible, primarily because of the tiles but also just because they still feel like unpolished beta software full of bugs and lack of cohesion.

You kidding? Mavericks was decent, Yosemite was horse shit, El Capitan is great. I haven't tried OS X 10.12 yet so I can't really say it's the best, but El Capitan's definitely the best Intel version I've used so far.

El Capitan breaks legacy drivers for some devices. Things like Securely emptying trash is gone (you have to immediately delete files now with shift + cmd + backspace to delete items that are in use). And yes Disk Utility was less useful. Bootcamp assistant could also only allow for one extra partition, if you wanted to add another partition using disk utility your Bootcamp partition would not be bootable anymore.
