I want to upgrade from a R9 290 Windforce to either a 980Ti, GTX 1070 G1 Gaming or 1070 Xtreme gaming.
the 1080 is just too expensive for a relatively small increase in performance (10fps at 4k for twice the price)
I wanted to ask whether any of you have found benchmarks or have benchmarks between the 1070 G1 and the Xtreme gaming, since I haven't been able to find much.
on one site the xtreme gaming had 5 fps on the G1 gaming at 1440p, but it's 80€ more expensive
any info on the cards and why i should or shouldnt buy would be greatly apreciated

Look at the overclock potentials and the clock speed.
Look at the temps/noise.
You don't want to look at the static fps when comparing two different benchmark from different sites. You want the relative gains vs the other cards.
