What happened to all the old soviet union technology?
Do they still use it?
Are there any good books about it?

You mean like this?
In fact, it's the only way to deliver astronauts to the space station today

Big stuff like the Ternary computer?
Died with socialism.
May have been better, but capitalism doesn't care much for advancement in general technology.
Other stuff like their televisions and stuff?
They would have used them until they stopped working, and then replaced them with capitalist made goods as the soviet goods stopped being available.

It was either left to rot (photo related), or sold off to the highest bidder when the evil Soviet empire finally fell apart.
It was a shitty place where human life meant very little and the state controlled every aspect of your life, but automation and technology was impressive.
Many of my professors worked with the kgb in implementing stolen western tech.
The reality is warsaw pact never had an edge on the west in anything but space and that was short lived.
Communism does not promote innovation as it is it self dogmatic and overly rigid.

>What happened to all the old soviet union technology?
I Iran into a guy once, on an interstate trip. He claimed to have licensed tech from the Russians that involved getting exotic chemicals from the eyes of krill. All their tech was being trashed in the goldrush that was Yeltsin's doing. The Russians were world leaders in phages, non chemical anti-bacterials that could replace anti-biotics, but when did you last hear about phages?
There was a lot of knowledge lost when the oligarchs took over.

The legacy is used for military shit.
