Would this be able to take advantage of a dedicated gpu?
One interesting hang up lies in the video inputs on this monitor. It only has HDMI 2.0, Mini DisplayPort 1.2, and USB Type-C. As posters over at [H] pointed out, the HDMI 2.0 and DP 1.2 connections do not have enough bandwidth to support the panels 3840 x 2160 resolution at 120Hz. Fortunately the refresh rate is not a lie. There is a a way to do it, but users will need to use the USB Type-C connector and it’s DisplayPort Alternate Mode feature to do it.

No. Just no.
Put your dedicated GPU into a regular desktop PCI-E slot, that's the only place where it belongs.

Would it work on 4K 60Hz? I guess that would be fine for a lot of folks (including me)

I don't understand what you two are talking about. Are you suggesting you could have a GPU that isn't physically inside your computer?

That is not what I meant.
Could your GPU drive this monitor without it being directly connected to it? But through the USB C port on your motherboard.
Or would that only work with IGP?
