I went back to Linux Distros and many people told me to try Ubuntu Mate and FUCK I AM IMPRESSED!
Why haven't you installed it yet? It just werks out of the box.

OP here. I really enjoyed Unity for quite a long time, but having that old Ubuntu feel is awesome in terms of multitasking. imo, obviously.
