Why are open source developers to rude? Even their designers (who are actually just programmers who can see 3 whole colors instead of the average black and white world most Linux users see) are autistic.

This is not rude. Linus is rude sometimes, but thats just the personality. People usually understand things faster if you say it clearly, and this is seen as rude usually

because they have varying groups of different pretentious autists demanding they commit themselves to one shitty HIG and contribute to fragmentation or maintain two or three different versions of a program. and then, one of those changes radically, as in every fucking couple of months, and they have to keep up or have their program look and work like shit, or maybe not work at all.
if you were a seriously developer you'd eventually get fucking pissed and be rude all the time before snapping and moving to an OS with a single and stable UI toolkit and HIG, like OS X or windows.
