This is one of the least cancerous designs as well.

Precision X on the otherhand is one of the most abominably-shit pieces of poorly-designed garbage I've ever had the displeasure of installing. It crashes constantly, it looks like a 12 year old autistic ricer made it in a day and everything is clunky and hard to find.

I don't follow at all. Complexity? What do you mean? The same information is there, just instead of being plastered all over your face with ßÍöHÅZÅRDSpëRM printed on top of it, it's presented in a clear, concise and logical manner with no extra frills or unnecessary embellishment.

You don't get anything by being a special fucking snowflake. If every other dialog window looks like that, then it's probably because it *works*. I find it much more distracting if every single program decides to have its own visual style. I can't even stand the mismatch between gtk and qt - I would probably have a heart attack on windows.
