I believe this should be learned by lurking /ptg/ not by just handing out that info. I was patient and lurked as much as I could. Learned how to build ratio on tehc, decided to join both AB/WCD.

I used to limit my upload speed to 50 kB/s or 500 kB/s depending on size until a genuine non auto snatcher leecher appears and do that for them.

Alternatively, if there are multiple files (album, season pack, etc), when u first add the torrent to ur client, check only 1 or 2 files to download ("skip" or "don't download" the rest), recheck and start peering. This way at least the peers will be able to download 1 episode or song in a reasonable amount of time instead of waiting for the whole thing.

Also if u do that properly, you'll get expotentially higher upload. Ex: seed 1st episode, then 1&2 and then 1,2&3 and so on.

I've been out seedboxes with curry 5mB/s upload speeds doing that for a season pack and got a ratio of 5 from the initial swarm of 17 snatchers. Takes work but can be worth it

1080p x265 are superior in quality with the same filesize, at least in the files I've already downloaded, and I'd rather have 500mb 1080p x265 than 800mb 720p x264 for my tv-show files.
