>An Asus RT-N16 router I bought back in 2012 for $89 (on sale)
>it's still selling for $109 brand new
how is this possible?it was first released in 2009, and only supports 2.4GHz 802.11n at 300Mbps.
Seems like dual band 802.11ac routers are way cheaper. I could sell my RT-N16 used, and buy a cheaper, better performing router.
/g/ let's talk about routers
what's the use

are you one of those normies who just use the modem/router combo given by the ISP?
those ones are fine in some cases, but a dedicated router can do much better
i think it's because the rt-n16 is supported by custom firmware
so why are 802.11n routers more expensive than 802.11ac routers?
