so, a few months ago i graduated from votech and had no idea what type of project i should do for my portfolio, and tried to make something a little too advanced, and it ended up not working.
after a bit of a hiatus i think i finally realized i was trying to make something too complicated and decided to tone it down.
I wanted to know if my list of projects i'm planning on making are good enough for a portfolio, and if there were any projects you would recommend adding or removing from my list.
Calculator(possibly a scientific calculator if the first one works out)
music player(possibly a video player as well)
clock/timer
so far thats all i can think of that may only require one language.
i was thinking of doing a notification program that links to your email but I'm not sure if that requires any knowledge of sql, or javascript.

For a second I thought you were doing these things in hardware and those were almost respectable tasks but then I saw you mention "one language"
As coding projects, those are all incredibly basic and show no skill whatsoever. For your sake I hope this is some kind of subtle troll attempt.

okay, then what are some recommended projects that do take skill, I was hoping those would at least help me demonstrate some sense of knowledge about coding as well as being practical projects for everyday use, since I assumed most employers would like to see that.
