He's MaD AHAHHAHAH
In another thread a while back, some guy claimed that the "low" memory bandwith (192 GB/s) is going to make the 1060 unsuitable for anything above 1080p. I would like to know if there are any sources to back this up, the only stuff i find do not support this claim.
>>55802245
low memory bandwith penetrates the fsb at a more frequent irq
>>55802368
literally what the fuck am i reading
When are they going to be available AT ALL
There are EVGA 1060's listed at 300€ which is fine but nowhere has any stock.
Will Volta be out by the time this changes?
>>55801077
IMO no need to upgrade every gen.
1060 is about as powerful as a 970 or 980. The main difference you'd get is more VRAM (good if you run skyrim/stalker/gta with mods), and a little boost from async compute (~5%) in DX12.

just get a second hand 970, get the nvidia $30 rebate and OC it. stock 1060 perf for <$200.
for real tho i've seen plenty of msrp 1060s, they aren't being gouged as hard as the 1070 and 1080 and if you're looking you should find one.
>>55804297
Any suggestions on where? I've seen them gouged to fuck on Amazon and Ncixus
>>55804327
newegg has 1060 minis for msrp and normal 1060s with a $10-20 gouge.

Sadly all out of stock except for the zotac.
