i want to try linux for the first time. figured ill try it in a virtual machine first.
what virtual machine should i install?
what version of linux ?
i dont see linux mint in there and i wanted to try that

Make your life easier and dual boot.
Either create a new partition, or use a blank drive, or just use a flash drive. VMs are a pain in the ass to get right.
