Is there any disadvantage to having the case fans in close proximity to the cpu-cooler? I'm using a small ITX case with a Noctua NH-D15 and my rear and top exhaust fans almost touch the heat sink of my cooler.
They exhaust hot air, so that seems to work, but I wonder how much they actually contribute to getting hot air out of the entire case instead of just helping the CPU.

No disadvantage as far as the rear exhaust is concerned, but if you have a top fan chances are all it's doing it causing random turbulence.
