Is there any disadvantage to having the case fans in close proximity to the cpu-cooler? I'm using a small ITX case with a Noctua NH-D15 and my rear and top exhaust fans almost touch the heat sink of my cooler.
They exhaust hot air, so that seems to work, but I wonder how much they actually contribute to getting hot air out of the entire case instead of just helping the CPU.

should be fine, as long as the CPU cooler is blowing air in the same direction.

No disadvantage as far as the rear exhaust is concerned, but if you have a top fan chances are all it's doing it causing random turbulence.

What case is that? Should be fine as long as the fans are all going in the same direction.

That's not actually my computer. I'm using a Jonsbo RM3 which is a lot more cramped in the top section.

Here's an actual image of the case. Except there's a 140 mm fan sitting on top of the CPU cooler right now.

where the fuck is the psu in that?
or is it one of those ridiculous "slim" models?

It's behind the silver grill

>3 fucking fans behind each other
>Yo dawg'...
WTF.
Get ONE. Not 2, not 3, not 42, but ONE. One that can actually do the job, not some whimpy shit that stalls out when it's not in free air. One.
And an air duct of some sort.

But I like having lots of fans

What's those Not fans you're talking about? Can't find them anywhere.
