Not related but Im trying to get my hands on a workstation laptop but I have no idea what the best one under 1700 is, any recomendations?

I would wait on reviews for the Xiaomi. I know I want one myself, but it looks like it could run super hot.

this. the xaiomi looks toog ood to be true especially for a debut. it beats the macbook air everwhere so its pit HAS to be thermals. they may have done something but i wouldnt expect this thing to runcool without an external accesory. (the kind that look dumb but make the laptop cooler and actually comfier)

if you really can get a p50s for that price go for it and don't even think about the mi, thinkpads are kings in durability and this model have probably rooms for expansion and upgrades.
both have similiar gaming performance... but thinkpad have way better cooling
