Alright so im looking for something like pic related, but that actually plugs into your PC and works as extra keys. Im looking for something that has the keys set up in a row though, like a strip or something. I havent found anything except those plug in numpads, but those wouldnt work with the layout i have in mind. Any ideas?
va12m could work
its kinda like a numpad but if you could always think of it as one of those strips if you rotate it sideways??
it plugs into a compo as well but it inputs numbers and im not sure if its programmable
Just get a couple of these.

A macro board?
i did something like that using a old usb keyboard. ripped out the circuit board then wired up some pushbuttons that were connected to the points on the board that matched the keys i wanted. i even did single pushbutton to do those multikey functions using relays (1 pushbutton turned on 3 relays for a 3 keypress)

If those exist then yes? Something i can use for hotkeys

Ill have to look into that if it is programmable

I was hoping not to resort to making one if these existed already but i might end up having to frankenstein something together...
