Working for my degree in CS. What did you do to make money in college /g/? How's the freelancing scene?
That's what I'm also wondering, hope there's good replies.
Do IT work for cash. 9 times outta 10 it's just simple PC up keeping. Plus you can charge up the ass for it

Day trading.
I'm planning on doing work study. Had a friend that was going for CS as well and he did that. Most of the time he just did homework and if someone needed help with a copy machine or something he'd just say he didn't know how to use it. Granted, that's a shit thing to do but at least he got his homework done and got payed
Recent CS grad here.
Had some student loan debt, but mostly because I didn't bother doing workstudy until junior/senior years.
Do well in your classes and your professors will ask you to be a Teaching Assistant. This means you just take the class again but don't have to do any of the work. You just grade student projects based on the solution and a grading ruberic and occasionally help people with pretty simple to grasp concepts.
If you can work at the help desk for your school that's fine too, but generally management is a bunch of insane neo-nazi fuckwits who only want you to know how to help people connect to wifi on their macbookpro's. Fuck IT. Be a grader/TA/tutor.
