Am I asking for trouble buying no-names like ZOTAC, Gainward or Palit.
What's the difference between them and MSI / Asus.
Over here the no-name 1060s and 480s are more than 100 euros cheaper.
ZOTAC is one of the top tier card makers now, easily beating out Asus, maybe not MSI. Gainward and Palit usually come out with some of the nicer looking cards, but they take forever, and don't run as quiet/cool as the bigger brands

No, Zotac Gainward and Palit has been on the market for quite some time.
Hell even Inno3D has been around a while.
You're not talking about no-namers until you hit Galaxy, Galax(spung off Galaxy), and chinese brands like Colorful, Onda, Maxsun.
MSI is cheaper than Asus, and doesn't have the oversized PCB, the Strix LED and ricer gamer bullshit marketing.
Almost couldn't fit a Strix 970 into a case once because it was extra wide

I used to have a 2GB GT 610 from Zotac that I got for $30. I remember being able to overclock it by alot.
>tfw only buy the cheapest in stock gpus, which meant xfxs and zotacs
>never had to rma, always had decent overclocking with them
Don't fall for the "premium" brand meme

What about temps and noise?
Wouldn't even mind overpaying for "premium" cards if they were noticably quieter & cooler

I didn't know about zotac either but my friends told me it's alright.
Recently bought the gtx 1060 one. It's working like a charm.

...alright.
Is there much difference in AIB 1060s? Any brand known to have issues?
