>install an extra hard drive temporarily
>upgrade it to Win10 to secure your (hardware-based) license
>wipe the drive and keep using 7/8 until you need DirectX 12

In the meantime install an alternative OS (Ubuntu/Hackintosh) and reserve your Win10 drive for gaming, which is all it's good for anyway.
