Just saw this thing coming out soon, it is a computer called superbook which is powered by your phone. All it supplies is keyboard, monitor and a Batterie. It even has its own os to make it work with all android devices.
Do you think this is worth looking into? Even with phones nowadays would it be powerful enough to use this as you normal laptop for at home? My phone has 3gigs of ram, about as much as my old laptop which already is a few years old, is that comparable? Or are they just trying to shill for a fancy monitor
Haha no
Does your phone have Ubuntu or convergence enabled? Because you'll just have a big screen android lmao

They say they made an app for it called andronium, and should work like a 'normal' os

on a cortex a53 it's gonna run like pentium 4

This is fucking ridiculous. Should have called it the super shit book. Why the fuck would anyone want to do this?

Don't these already exist?
I recall seeing one of these things, where you pop your phone into a socket in the screen and it becomes a laptop.
Or actually more like a bigger phone screen with a keyboard.
I think it can be enough for many people.
After all, for a lot of people using the computer is basically, facebook, checking the mail and watching movies.

That's actually pretty cool imo but it seems to be thicker than most ultra/macbooks lol

isn't that shit called a "dumb terminal" since like forever?
