It isn't even about an OS here. Vulkan just like openGL is completely independent of the OS on which it is being used. It's just a damn API that aims to replace old shit like DirectX and OpenGL

For that test gamersnexus didn't have async compute in use (thats where AMD sees the biggest gains). Pic related does have it enabled and look at what the fury x is doing to the 1070.

You need to use TSAAA or no AA to have async on Vulkan Doom, otherwise it won't be enabled since it isn't implemented on the other AA modes iiirc

Its a game that doesn't have spaghettified render code, so it serves as a nice reference, since the Khronos documentation is still somewhat fluid. Also id devs are still churning out open source goodies.
