Sweet. Can't wait for full release.
>>55758312
Fix your goddamn icon fonts.
>>55758312
Support for async compute?
>>55758312
>Implying
Wow, it can run a game from the 90s. Talk about innovative.
>>55758312
>NVIDIA BTFO
But have we seen the benchmark comparisons yet?
>>55758312
hells yeah baby! 90's game finally coming to linux
yal just assholes. dont u see this means that mappimg opengl calls to vulkan calls ot that hard, and vulkan is totly viable?
>>55758372
Not him, but fonts are crazy complex and have a huge attack surface. Theres a new code execution exploit found in fonts like every week. Its beyond stupid to let random websites load fonts.
>>55758450
testing without async AYYYLMAO
So far ParaLLEl is the coolest use of Vulkan I've seen.

>>55760024
>>55758312
This is what you Loonixcucks brag about? 20 year old games?
>>55760143
ParaLLEl runs on Windows too. I'd like to see you try to play that game without Vulkan.
>>55760143
envy detected
>>55759648
>rendering fonts in kernel space
>microsoft 2016
>>55760178
It looks like a game from the PS1/N64-era, why would I be envious of that? As a Windows-user I get to enjoy graphics like this instead.
>>55760379
You totally missed the point
>>55760740
lol sure stay mad loonixcuck
>>55760765
It isn't even about an OS here. Vulkan just like openGL is completely independent of the OS on which it is being used. It's just a damn API that aims to replace old shit like DirectX and OpenGL
>>55760740
>>55760784
>replying to obvious shitposters
>>55760784
Why would any game developer be interested in making their game look like something from the 90s only so loonixcucks can play it?
>>55760842
nice bait my friend!
>>55760200
It was originally done to make Windows not run like shit, not sure why it's still like that though.
>>55758312
so this is the """""""""""""""power"""""""""""""""" of linucks?
lmao
>>55761224
Backwards, compatibility.
Hope them start to move things to VM and shit. NT has gotten a bad name only because the stupid things that is made to do to please Windows Subsystem
>>55761248
The more people who use this """"""""""""(Topic here)""""""""""""" meme,
The more it loses it's troll effect.
Here's your (You)
>>55758312
This is epic, just got it running
>>55758335
Fullscreen is easy to implant with Vulkan, took me like 6 minutes
>>55760842
>>55760379
Kek'd, you're trying too hard.
He probably does not even know what an API is, just shitpots furiously.
>>55758312
>20 year old game
Well at least something AMD poors will be able to run at more than 20 FPS :^)
>>55764955
in fact probably well into 2000 fps how is the performance increase op? also what is it based on? quakespasm?
>>55765096
You could get that frame rate on an old 6970 already with GL Quake, I bet you would get way more then 2k with Vulkan and a newer GPU.
>>55765264
of course but im just looking for a comparison, before and after
>>55760379
>cyкa-lang in the lower-left corner
are you from a country that hates Freedom™, anon?
>>55758312
Fuck off to /v/ plz
>>55759651
doom can't be tested without async on vulkan.
>>55758450
So vulkan is like an AMD thing and still it sucks at it?
>>55765946
For that test gamersnexus didn't have async compute in use (thats where AMD sees the biggest gains). Pic related does have it enabled and look at what the fury x is doing to the 1070.
>>55766169
>55766169
Ugh but the 1070 is a much cheaper card and the 1080 and almost even 980 beat it
>>55766169
>that 380 performance boost
damn gurl
>>55766169
>those jumps
I can see why Nvidia-people hate it
>>55766224
>>55766505
>>55766552
Ze germans get something similar.
>>55766169
DELETE THIS
>>55765839
It can, it's usually tested without async
You need to use TSAAA or no AA to have async on Vulkan Doom, otherwise it won't be enabled since it isn't implemented on the other AA modes iiirc
>>55758312
Quake was already playable on Linux. Why is this exciting news?
>>55768974
Because Vulkan?
>>55768974
Its a game that doesn't have spaghettified render code, so it serves as a nice reference, since the Khronos documentation is still somewhat fluid. Also id devs are still churning out open source goodies.
