Qi charging is not bad. Fast charging is a little more debateable.

Most people keep phones 2-3 years with moderate charge cycles. Both inductive charging and quick charging are fine for this.

That being said when they're on sale you can get quick charge 2.0 certified chargers for less than $10/each AND they're much less likely to be dislodged by bumping the phone, so it's overpriced for a gimmick for desktop use.

I really like it. It shows you the time, and you don't wear out the USB port as fast. It's pretty much a luxury, but I'd recommend it.

I have one, it was a birthday gift from my girlfriend and I use it when i'm on my computer, i just set it down on it and it starts charging, idk just convenience but it isn't a big deal.

When the USB port on my Nexus 5 broke I switched to Qi charging. I don't want to go back now, it's so nice.
Why the hell didn't they include it in the 5x?
