Who /waiting for next gen/ here?

Since apparently we're not getting HBM2 until NVidia Volta and AMD Vega, and there's now rumors that Vega is being pushed forward to 2017 (albeit at the same die size as Pascal). Plus the high prices and low stock (probably due to low yields).

I don't really see the problem waiting for another year.

That isn't a rumor, its the original release date shown on AMD's super vague GPU roadmap.
The rumor was that AMD pushed its release up to the end of 2016 to compete against high end Pascal.

If by "rumour" you mean "official updates AMD provides to its investors" and by "pushed forward" you mean "the actual timeline that they've been presenting this entire time"

Pascal is literally just a placeholder, it will go into legacy mode soon, Volta is the real 16nm card
