I just installed Linux for the first time, the fonts are making my eyes water, how do I install whatever it is Win 7 uses on Linux?
Also what are some other decent fonts I can use on Linux?
what
Windows sucks dick at font rendering and it's even worse after 7, i wish i had Linux font rendering in Win7.

Why are there 2 fedora tux's in pic related.
Also what distro are you using

Installing Wine with Winetricks will give you Windows fonts on Linux.

Last time I checked Windows' fonts were absolute garbage.
May be you need to enable subpixel rendering

I installed Ubuntu first, but I thought it looked hideous so I tried Linux Mint since so many people use it, and that one looked much better.
But I really don't like the fonts.

Looks fine on my end.

wtf you trolling? Ubuntu font rendering is SHIT compared to Windows.
Fonts in Linux is pretty alright
You can actually choose them
Linux people are definitely no designers, you fucking neckbeard scum. Nobody in their right mind would use Linux for design because bad font rendering.

The TrueType MS core fonts are what uou want. The name of the package will depend on your distribution.
Infinality is worth looking into as well.
I personally have found Debian's default font rendering to be pretty bad (at least when I used it) and Fedora's to be pretty good. YMMV.
