Hi
I'm planning on buying a computer for gaming, CAD and porn.
Can you help me know if it's gonna be shit or good ?
AMD FX-8350 - 4.0 GHz - 8 cores
Radeon RX480 8GB
Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P
Ballistix Sport 2X8GB DDR3 1866 - 14900 CL10
WD Blue 1 TB SATA 6GB/s
EVGA 500W 80+ W1
700$ new with case and shit
>AMD 4 life
yea BOIEEE!!
You might be paying a little bit more than what it's worth.
Everything is good except the 480, Get the 1060.
The 1060 is 100$ more than the 480 ... is it really that much better ?

Its fine,
It's just memes at this point.
procesor is abit lacking though.
Go for an i5 or i7 atleast sandy bridge

The difference is 50 dollars lmao. Also you have to factor in the PCI power draw issues that the 480 has.

Or just don't buy this year's cards, they are trash memes at this point.
For gaming focus, go second hand 980ti
For CAD (and porn) focus, a cheap nano or 300 series.

AMD CPUs are trash. Get an i5.
You'll want an SSD for you main boot drive. The difference is heaven and earth.

Whats wrong with the 1060?

Fixed. Also, WHO THE FUCK EVEN BUYS REFERENCE MODELS YOU IDIOT?
But an actual workstation card for CAD, games may be a bit lackluster on a W series AMD card or a Quadro, but the performance in CAD programs the insane amounts of video memory gives you are worth it.
Pro tip:
>never crossfire two FirePro W9100's unless you want a housefire
But danm, that 32gb of vram

He doesn't need the power or the price tag.
>>55743529
>thinking crossfire works this way
I'm not kidding, get the fuck out of /g/.
>>55743172
Looks good 8350 here but would recommend a i5 since the 8350 is starting to show its age glad Zen coming out soon.

1060 is $100 more, out of stock/backorder at the moment but its about 5%-10% better.
The 480 will still max everything 60fps+ 1080p just don't get base model.
>>55743172
>AMD GPU
even the most amd fans dont use amd cpus. don't ask for a housefire.
>>55743541
>thinking crossfire adds all ram together
>not realizing there's a 32gb w9100
