I would not consider any WP device at this point, even if it ran W10. Even if that may fix some of the app issues, the platform is dying and it's no secret. At this point BLU and a few regional companies are the only ones even making WP devices.

If you want something under $500, I would suggest the Moto X Pure Edition. The OP3 is also fairly good, but it doesn't have SD card support

Greetings /spg/, i've been looking at the OnePlus X and it seems like a damn good phone for it's price (same as the RN3P, at least where i live), not to mention that it's name and color are awesome, should i buy it or is the OP3, or hell, even the OP1 or the OP2 better? I definitely want an SD slot because i tend to cram as much anime and gamecenter episodes as i can because my job sometimes leaves me with a lot of free time (as much as 5 hours on slow days), but if One Plus' other devices are THAT much superior then i don't mind having to make do with 64 GB and a 5.5 screen that doesn't quite fit on my pockets, i don't want an 800 dollars flagship phone because i know i won't use it that much, but i don't want a potato either, so this company is my only real choice, to give you an idea of how old and shitty my phone is, i have an S3 with a cracked screen, battery that drains completely in 8 hours standby, laggy ui despite me having opted for CM13 and it's the 1 GB original version ie the very first one, so i need an upgrade asap.

I'm currently using an iPhone 5S, and have been using iOS since I first owned a smartphone. getting a custom rom onto the s7 would be a pita (dun even know if it's possible yet) but you could definitely just install a new homescreen, like Nova Launcher, which is pretty much identical to the stock android launcher, and you can customize the icons on those cusotm launchers too
