I just want to install a distro on it and be done but this piece of shit is starting to look like it's too fucked to even do that. I'm running full system diagnostics right now but it probably isn't going to do much for it. It's not worth replacing the hard drive either so I don't know if I should just junk it or not.

Use Linux to delete everything and clean it out, then reinstall torrented windows for the normie.

Add malware bytes on an auto scan weekly and your suite of idiot proofer external skins ( adblocker of choice, HTTPS everywhere, normie theme).

Make sure to set everything to auto update when you leave.
