>its not a TitanX
I hope a [spoiler]i5 4570k is alright with it
>>55726607
Why didn't you listen to /g/?
How much did you spend on that thing?
Don't tell me that it's over $400.
/g/ has already pointed out that you could've gotten yourself a new 980ti at $360 instead of spending way above $400 for a 1070.
>>55726767
But /g/ told me NOT to listen to /g/
>>55726678
Who's Isaac?
>>55726904
no you just chose to listen to one of many random posts and chose the wrong one

>Define r5 being a meme
Go fuck yourself
>>55727150
Too expensive and I dont need THAT much
>>55726607
I listened.
used 2700k I got for about $150 back in 2012,
used overkill mobo I got for $240.79 in 2012,
new monitor I got at $670
new 980ti I got at $360.
>>55727168
The meme that I regret buying into though isn't win10, but rather the optical drive.
>>55726607
Congrats. I hope you enjoy your gaming.. :3
>>55727180
But how else would you burn dreamcast games
>tfw 1070 prices are still retardedly high
I'm actually thinking about upgrading from my 670 to a 970 or 980 and just waiting for next series of cards, I still play games at 1080p so paying close to $500 for a 1070 seems like a waste. Waiting for the price for the of 1070s to come down or for 1060s to become available isn't an option for me since I'm trying avoid paying import taxes [which usually amount to 50% of whatever I buy, not including shipping] and the window for that is only a few days.
Is it even worth upgrading to the 900s series in this case? My 670 isn't terrible but I'm getting framerate drops in some games to the point where I have to drop to medium which is a pretty shitty experience
This is getting ridiculous i bought 3 970's for around 30-90 bucks and flipped them for profit gonna get me a 1080 soon.
>>55726607
>not getting the ftw1070
>>55726607
you got gpu with the best value in this gen, feel good about it

>>55726917
>>55726607
You made the right choice.
There's absolutely nothing else worth getting in that price range.
>>55729396
>that price range
You seriously think that this card is worth above the $380 MSRP?
>>55729396
>that price range
>$449
>>55729409
Yes, I don't consider $420 to be too bad. Many X70 cards have launched at $400, with non-reference models costing that $10-20 extra.
>>55729433
See >>55727066
>>55726607
got my 1070 a couple of weeks back.
Super happy with it. Is maxing everything without the 1080 cost.
>>55729459
Sorry, but the very fact that GTX 980ti being sold at $370 seriously put to question of the wisdom in spending $450. If it's MSRP for AIB, then that's fine, but the "founder's" price for AIB? It's not even a specialized version with cold bug circuitry on it.
I couldn't do it, so I got and 980ti at $360, with a $20 MIR that I am not counting.
>>55729519
>$450
Why are you bringing up $450 when OP bought it for $420, and literally anyone who wants the card can buy a non-reference card for around that price?
Not only does 980 Ti lose to 1070 by 10-15%, it also consumes more power, will lose driver support sooner and will have worse DX12 performance.
1070 would actually have price/perf comparable to 8 GB RX 480 with a price tag of $379. $420 is hardly a bad price to pay for one.
>>55729550
He could've only done that if he's gotten the Newegg promotion of 30 bucks off by using paypal. Otherwise it's straight up $450.
>>55729579
I'm not exactly sure which EVGA 1070 model that is, but this thing had a last seen price of $420 on amazon.

There has also been a $420 EVGA 1070 on newegg as well, this one
