What does /g/ think of external laptop graphics?
Overpriced and useless.

I like the concept because it's the logical conclusion of my current set up where I have a powerful desktop and a laptop with a decent CPU and integrated graphics. However current solutions aren't quite where I need them to be.

Neat for very specific purposes. Most people will hate on them but it's no different then accessories like external hard-drives and external cooling.
However, anyone wanting a full sized GPU should not be using a laptop haha.

Wish there were more options out there than that overpriced meme machine
I just wanna buy a GPU and plug it into my laptop, is that so much to ask?

I'm a poorfag and can't afford to pay for everything else. My laptop already has a screen, keyboard, storage, processor, ram, etc I'm just missing the GPU. If I could buy a mid-level GPU and use it with my laptop to play vidya I totally would, rather than spending $1000 for a new PC

Pretty neat for using with tiny PC boxes. Strapping your PC to your monitor and plugging it into an external GPU is an awesome alternative to having a huge PC tower.

I dunno but I'm sure 100% of /g/ agrees in the fact that you're a faggot
>>55724499
Actually a pretty good idea, as long as it can input back to the laptop screen.

I suppose that makes sense.
I think they're neat, albeit expensive with a very niche market.
I really would quite like to have one if I was say a reviewer, so I could pop GPU's in and out like cassettes or cartridges, instead of having to pick around in my case every time.
I don't know--at the end of the day, it's a toy.
>I want to poor price:performance of a laptop, but without the mobility.
>Say no more.
