What is your opinion on alternative input devices?
Do any of you use trackpads, trackballs, or any interface that isn't a keyboard or mouse for everyday desktop computing?
I'm thinking about getting a Wacom tablet for general navigation
I use an art intuos medium strictly for art. It has a good touchpad built in, but never use it since my mouse is better.
At some point laptops should have had Wacom based touchpads which really makes sense. Thinkpad W701(or something) did have a dedicated built in Wacom pad. Wish I had that version.

The idea of using my tablet as a general navigation device is absurd. I've tried using 3dsmax and zbrush with a tablet and let me tell you mouse and keyboard is infinitely more useful
if you're buying a tablet it's going to be for drawing purposes zbrush and maybe some cad applications

Also it goes without saying unless you have a backround drawing on paper the learning curve for tablets is extremely steep
watching my friends trying to use my tablet cracks me up everytime
drawings easy they said
My university guidance councellor used a wacom bamboo to switch my classes in some program that looked like excel. She was perfect at it and I miss her.

She dragged some cells around, dragged and dropped, all in a short time.i want to lick her pusy lips
I wish for a better input device, one that can be controlled with gloves and fingers.
Do razer nostromo and the likes count? I use one for pretty much everything but typing

Oh god that looks amazing. Are there any other devices like this that aren't as "gamer" branded?
