What am I doing wrong? Need help and opinions from all the command-line linux wizards of /g/.
>deleting partitions on an Android device from using Windows even with the adb shell

Haven't used parted in a long time but I am pretty sure you need to save.

You forgot you're

I know what you're saying, but Parted is not as complicated as other partitioning tools and the commands are executed sequentially and as soon as they're issued.

Probably just need to reboot the device then?
>>55716638
Nope. Rebooted more than once because I wanted to try different recoveries. And same shit happened.
My guess is that it's some kind of security thing of the device that doesn't let me mess with the partitions.
>>55716688
I would try doing it from one of those custom recoveries that support adb.
>>55716720
Yeah, you can only do this from recoveries with adb support. I tried with ClockworkMod and PhilZ Touch (TWRP is no good).

Make sure the device node is writable?
Beyond that I'm out of ideas and it might just be a bug.

That's okay, thanks for your kind input anyway.
I'm still thinking that it's some security mechanism of the device that won't let the user modify the original partitions.
I just hope that some other dudes from this technology board did something similar with what I'm trying to do and will share their practical experience.
