Not sure what you are talking about. The reason it took so long to make it into a PC game was to optimize it with better graphics than the console. The game was made for a console, therefore it isn't easy to port it and they did a very good job of satisfying PC users.

You can buy a Reference GTX970 from Best Buy made by EVGA which is quite shitty, it has really poor power phases and can't OC for shit, this is know as the GTX970 Best Buy Edition.

Your best bet is buying the Reference GTX970 from overclockers uk store which apparently is better and made by PNY? which is one of the few Quadro partner.


Both are expensive as fuck though, really it cost more than most third party OC GTX 970.

i used to have by far the worst 970 you can buy - a blower cooler with voltage lock, and even undervolted to 1.175v it could reach 1540mhz stable.

Vulkan is the Future of Gaming and Pascale is Under powered and overpriced.

DX12 (and all the libraries that it covers) effectively has a year headstart on vulkan which is a huge advantage this early on. Though from what I understand vulkan actually has proper documentation unlike the shitshow that was/is opengl so that should at the very least promote adoption given documentation support has been a real killer advantage for DX in the last 5 years or so.

While people like to cite doom as vulkan superiority let us not forget id software has been very much against DX since the dawn of time and are most likely (just guessing mind) far more educated on the nuances of both opengl and vulkan than most other developers.

the ID people are actually good at their jobs and hate bad code on a visceral level which is why they went with Vulkan/OpenGL even though Vulkan was less mature.

Now that Developers the world over have seen what Vulkan can do thats to their blockbuster DOOM title everyone gonna look at that and then look at the spotty performance of current DX12 titles and likely choose Vulkan as their API going forward

Also alot of Major Studios are turning out crappy games these days which means young start-ups will have the amazing new games of the future and they will run AMD libraries and Vulkan because they wont cost them money and reduce their operating costs.

yeah, i can finally play witcher 3 maxed out at 60fps/1080p, only thing is not ultra are foliage render range (since it lowers fps by 3-8 for no fucking reason) and hairworks which is at low only geralt. Sadly my oc results are really really bad, barely 125mhz core (2025-2037mhz) and ~550mhz memories (well i'm still testing memory it will prob go lower)
