Is it safe ``enough'' ?
``no"

argument?
Safe for what?
If you're just a normie, FBI doesn't give a shit about you.
If you're a drug dealer/pedo/terrorist, hang yourself.
Look fun, and it's Japanese. I would use it...
...if I still had friends.

>If you're just a normie, FBI doesn't give a shit about you.
I'm afraid about third party being able to read my messages.
Same feeling as if I was having a shit with the door open simply because the cleaning lady and my coworkers don't care about me crisped face.

Ok.
In that sense I think any mesaging app isn't secure enough. Back when I fell for the Snowden meme, I rooted my phone and installed the thing where every app has to ask for every permission, just to see what's using what and when
>as soon as I hit send on an email I wrote to my sister using K-9, a WhatsApp request to access accounts (or screen?, I can't remember) popped up
>randomly browing /pol/ on Firefox, permission request for the Amazon app pop up to access the camera
I think on a smartphone, any app or data is open to being accessed by a bunch of other apps/services. The only way to be safe from that would be to have a dedicated device with no other apps/services running on it.
Honestly, just let it go, life is stressful enough, who gives a shit. Corporate secrets shouldn't be shared electronically. Affairs are immoral humiliating to your spouse, even if they don't find out. And as for anything illegal, like I said, hang yourself.
So what's in the messages and who are you so scared of intercepting them?

>I rooted my phone and installed the thing where every app has to ask for every permission,
What's this thing, I am in the process of rootig my phone (it's an exotic model and I'm a beginner when it comes to smartphones so I'm having troubles)
>Corporate secrets shouldn't be shared electronically.
I'm still a graduate student but people in thlab aren't exactly following Mitnick's guideline. But that's off topic.
>Affairs are immoral humiliating to your spouse, even if they don't find out.
Not into that. I am lucky I've found someone so I'd better not ruin this up.
>And as for anything illegal,
My "illegal" activities consist of streaming tv shows so I guess I'm ok with that.
So what's in the messages and who are you so scared of intercepting them?
It's not because "I have nothing immoral to hide" that I don't want privacy. But i feel upset by the though of some employee being able to know the embarassing details only my closest friend are aware of.
And if I ever happen to become successful, I don't want some sneaky bastard being able to backtrack a conversation from 2010 where we argue about our favourite japanese porn stars and publish it on a tech blog or whatever it becomes in the future.
Been using it for over a year and love it

If you ever happen to be successful, you would wish for that. You know, more money from judicial process.

to discuss how much it will cost a thai prostitute to out your asshole?
sure.
>>55699839
Use it only if you suffer from yellow fever. It's great for that.
>>55703773
Well, I'd guess it is more likely I'd be forced to quit because of "Mr. Anon's taste in porngraphical media clearly shows hes preference for an ethnicity and as a company, we can't vouch for such an image" or some bullshit made mendatory by the newly established ministry of social justice and behavioral correctness.
>>55703659
Well then the only way is to not do it. There's no way to guarantee things won't be intercepted by other things.
I know what you mean, I've never done anythign illegal but fell for the Snowden meme for a while. Mainly it was to protect my gf. But she broke my heart and I don't give a shit any more lel. When my old phone finally broke, I didn't bother with rooting my new one. So I just roll with the botnet. Google already knows everything about me, so do the goverment probably so whatever. I'm not trying to hide from them anyway, I love both. Google helped me to discover my rare disease, and the government gives me free world class healthcare for it. I'm grateful to both.
I rooted it (I didn't really understand what I was doing, I just followed instructions and it worked), then installed Xposed which lets you use modules (think of them like add-ons). I think the one for this was called AppOps. Not sure. Like I said, it was a long time ago and I don't give a shit any more. Snowden was a meme, a psy op, and I fell for it hard.
Plus everyone loves Anri Okita, that's no secret. Pretty sure you're gay if you don't.

Maybe your gf dumped you because you're a cuck?

What's the problem with whatsapp
I heard people are making money making/selling stickers for LINE:
https://creator.line.me/en
https://creator.line.me/en/guideline/animationsticker/
>>55703854
I still use google as a search engine.
I also use google maps for finding the my way out
I use gmail because everyone does so and it's not likely to be down.
Each of this tool is OK to my standards, I am afraid of what they can know by crossing the data. I'd like a way to keep all of these unrelated...
>>55703870
Not him but I just spurted tea out my mouth because I read your smart-ass response while drinking. So, fuck you I guess.
>>55703886
Its owned by facebook, other than that is pretty cool.

Very difficult, maybe impossible to do on one device.
If it's that important, literally get another phone only for LINE. That's all I can recommend. Keep them separate, no cross-contamination.
Something cheap like a Moto G 2015 would do.
