In my opinion, the biggest problem with torrents is that once you edit any part of the folder, you basically forfeit seeding it. You also need to get the torrent file itself, and there could be many versions of it. On emule, you can just share your entire drive and seed individual files which will always still work. Maybe torrent clients will eventually implement DHT seeding but I doubt it's possible
