I am reading the /g/ wiki on anon
https://wiki.installgentoo.com/index.php/Anonymizing_yourself

It doesn't actually say how to obfuscate/hide IP. It says to get a VPN, and the VPN page just says "lol get a VPN." I have no intentions of nefarious activity, I simply don't want posts here tied to legit IP. I have a g-botnet email with real info that I use on a separate browser, but I imagine it still is tied to this place to some extent due to captcha.

How do I proxy? Alternatively, do free VPNs that aren't botnets even exist?
Please have some mercy /g/, I know this is a stupid question but the place where I ought to have answers doesn't have it.

I have some old network cable in my basement, on the side of the wire it says "catagory 5 type E10xxxxxx" (don't have the exact numbers in front of me)

Does that mean it's cat5e or just cat5? The roll it's on is dated 97 but I'm pretty sure it was just rerolled onto an old roll some time ago.

Unless you're planning on having the files in your computer without the extra transfer with an FTP, get a VPN. If you want to torrent while being afk then downloading them via FTP, get a seedbox.

For a VPS, you gotta read their TOS first.

Incoming wall of text:

1.) Supposed that I have a shitty case that only has 1 exhaust fan at the back, PSU on top, my PSU can only get air from its huge fan at the bottom which is somewhat near the CPU stock cooler, will my PSU survive/won't overheat in my PC?

2.) Are most intel/AMD CPU stock coolers blows air/pulls air away from heatsink?

3.) I've been using my monitor that has 1280 x 720 resolution in my entire life so I'm also planning to upgrade it before planning entirely my overall custom PC build. Should I go with 1080p 144Hz G-Sync/FreeSync (cheaper option), 1440p 144Hz G-Sync/FreeSync (most expensive), IPS 60 Hz panels? 4K? I'm also aware that IPS looks better/color-accurate which comes with tradeoffs. (60Hz) Also stocks are somewhat limited so I might have fewer options/other monitors that are available on US are hard to here.

I currently play Dota 2 (as a pastime/casually) but I also want something to fall back on if I suddenly got tired at Dota and I want to play other "demanding" games at reasonable settings and FPS.

4.) In countless benchmarks that I saw, GPU with aftermarket coolers ran cooler under load than reference coolers but blows hot air around the case compared to reference coolers that blows hot air outside the case. Will a 140mm exhaust fan at the back of the case be enough to get rid of hot air from the GPU and CPU? (assuming I have an air cooler on my CPU)

my CMOS time and date keep getting reset after I turn on my computer from about 2 hours of it being off.

So easy! Hope this helps someone!
Just be careful not to break them when you bend them...they are fragile.

I'll try this when I get home!

According to 6502 instruction set, bne is a relative addressing jump if Z = 0.
So it jumps to address stored in PC offsetted by 0xF9, and since bit 7 of 0xF9 is one, which signifies negative offset, it's probably some sort of loop
>>
>>55676166
Would take a lot of effort man. If no one else has done something like that on Windows 10 then you might have to make/recolour all the textures yourself. Not to mention you'd have to go into the registry and fuck around just to try an edit some of the windowing styles (if it's even possible).

If you want something like that so bad why not install a Linux/GNU based distro where everything pretty easily customisable if you know what you're doing. And with some of the weebs from /desktop/s actual COOPERATION you might get a little help/guidance along the way

Is it all really worth it though? Why not just install OSX?
>>
>>55676299
i thought about installing linux, steam is the only thing really holding me back at this point
>>
>>55676328
I dual booted with Xubuntu but literally never booted into it because I honestly had no use for it. It is definietly great for the people who know how to use it well and can actually benefit from its advantages over other OS choices.

It's customisability is largely due to the fact the OS gives you so much control over every little thing. It's sort of like driving an automatic car versus a manual car. If you need that sort of control over your car and know how to utilise it, you'll learn to love it, it'll become second nature and you'll probably never go back. If you drive automatic car and have no need to switch to manual besides the fact of saying, "I can drive a manual car," then you might find it tough.

Are you used to driving paying little attention to what you're doing, eating food while driving, one hand free to do whatever, etc, etc? Of course this is easily achievable by an experienced manual driver as well, yet it requires more skill, practice, etc, etc.

Ultimately it all depends on if you'll really benefit from the change or not, just give it a go and you'll probably quickly figure out if it's for you or not.

All I can really get is you're gonna be running pretty hot. If its an option I would get a case where there is more than one fan spot besides one for the osu to expel heat directly out of the case cause the psu usually generates a lot of heat. In total that would be 3 or more fans and fan locations. Intel and and stock coolers are both about the same, but amd is generally hotter so if you do get amd should have at least 2 case fans on top of an external space for the psu fan, but you would be safer with 3 there. And with gpu it shouldn't matter too much unless its pumping its air on the cpu or psu. Try to keep those 3 items pumping air away from each other and you'll be fine.

The issue with this is that the
div:nth-of-type(5)
changes the number so that your filter doesn't work on other pages. Go to a different page and check. The number seems to be anywhere between 1 and 14, possibly higher. I tried
div:nth-of-type(*)
but it doesn't seem to want to block it.

Is there a way to efficiently block this without having to manually re-enter all the different numbers?

As long as the partition is ext4 (as opposed to ntfs) you can install it anywhere you want.
If the partition is ntfs , you can just reformat it on the installer.
Also, just in case yiu didn't know about it, it's adviseable to make a swap partition some of some 2-4 gb and a ~100 mb ext2 partition to mount on /boot.

How do I go about accessing (read wiping) the onboard ssd cache from a presumably fried motherboard?
Story is that my hard drive got busted a few weeks back but I absolutely needed the computer for some paperwork and so I had been running debian from the 24gb ssd. Last night a glass of water fell on the laptop while I was going on about some dubious enterprises, and by the time I shuted the computer down and disconnected the battery the damage was already done. Now, thanks to KDE's restore previous session functionality, anyone that manages to boot up the system will be greeted by a naked cartoon 7 year old that remains in a legal grey ground in my country. I really don't know enough about computers to fix it on my own so I'm forced to take it to a repairshop.
Of course the user is password protected but since this was only a temporary thing I didn't bother encrypting the ssd and am pretty sure it could be accesed pretty easily for "backup" purposes.
I don't care in the least about anything in that drive and will accept any method as long as it doesn't damage the circumbenting elements any more than they already are.
The laptop is an asus ux32vd-r4002.

Hey guys, can you help a coding newb out.

I need to return a number that corresponds to the specified sequence in the fibonacci sequence using my FibonacciSequence method.

Every number in the fibonacci sequence is the sum of the previous two numbers.

So when I call the method, for example, FibonacciSequence[4], it should go back once in the sequence to take the value of [3] in the sequence and also go back twice in the sequence to take the value of [2], and then add them both together to produce the [4] sequence. In this example, it'd take [3] in the sequence, which is 3, and [2] in the sequence, which is 2, and then add them to produce [4], which is obviously 5.

Love you.

N-n-no homo.

i think you want to move the 2 writeline-statements under the foreach-loop into the loop.
you need to invoke FibonacciSequence a second time in the return statement:

return FibonacciSequence(sequence - 1) + FibonacciSequence(sequence -2);

Also, whats the purpose of the fibonacci-Array? Arent you calculating those numbers with the function? You're using them as index

>>
>>55684231
delete it
then enlarge windows partition by whateever size you want or all of it
you can shrink C later or whenever

google skill are failing its not your recovery partition
right click on the start button, or win+x, then select disk managment and there you see and can work with your partitions

I used the afterburner to monitor my temperature in tray, and to control fan curve
my gtx560ti really loved to let go on those fans even when temps just started to rise, custom fan curve worked flawlessly on that, keeping shit quiet, not panicking fans because 60°C

Thanks for the WebM. It seems like it works very fast, but is there any way to integrate it into the start menu or use it with classic Shell? I'm using the search in that and it's decent so far.

I guess I'll do some research on afterburner and how much I can oc my card and what I need to do with the fans to keep it cool.

My HTC One E9+ came with a malicious app preinstalled, and I want to know if I could plug my phone into the PC, go into the files and delete it.

Never get a 120GB SSD unless you plan to use that PC as a facebook machine or a laptop.
Out those 120GB you will have 70-80GB Free tops if you install your OS on it.

Also remove teh SV300 and get a 850 EVO or a Sandisk SSD Plus or Ultra ii.
SV300 is a really bad SSD, both reliability wise and speed wise.

you should take cheapest acceptable board asus/gigabyte for around $60-70
and go for i5 for saved money, not for i3

also dont buy small SSD and dont spend $100 on a fucking PSU
and mos timportantly get rx480 or gtx1060
>>
>>55686776
check if the crucial 8gb ram is cheaper; that is generally pretty decent.
For your video card look into the 480 prices. I'm not familiar with the pricing in canada, but that is a significant step up from the 380X.

For the case I would recommend a corsair 200r. Very easy to build in and has decent airflow. Also has four 2.5" and four 3.5" slots, so storage will never be an issue.

In all honestly, the mobo is not that important. Just find one that has good reliability and if you can find it for a decent price get it.

You can get a B150 motherboard if you want too.
Reduce the SSD to a Sandisk SSD or get a cheaper case.

>>
>>55686776
What games are you going to be playing? If it's just MOBA/MMO you can get away with a 750ti which go for under £100 ( so like $110)
With the money you save you can get a decent i5 which will actually run those games better because they are more cpu dependent

Not sure why I never considered microATX, but that sounds like a good way to save money on the case and mobo.

I'll try to find one for around $60-$70 but that might be difficult in Canada, I'm not sure. Do you have a recommendation for an i5? It shouldn't be a problem to get one with the money I'll be saving.

Is there a technical issue with small SSDs? I just don't think I'll be able to make use of a large one, I like to delete stuff. The expensive PSU is because I'm cautious, but if you don't think a cheaper one is a liability I'll look into it.

>>55686824
