Hey Anons, I searched for a while and couldn't find any info on this.
In pic related, the terminal shows the file manager (or whatever window is behind it). On a live disk of Kali, though, the terminal sees right through whatever window is behind it.
So, how do I get the terminal to "see through" whatever window(s) are behind it? Thanks in advance.

Second, that's because of display compositing. Turn it off and transparency becomes only to desktop
