I got a problem with a gtx 570 i recently got my hands on. My pc wont detect it. The fans are spinning on the gpu, but there is no output. What to do?

sounds like it's dead. Have fun with your new coaster

i only have a antec 380w earthwatt psu could that be the problem?

cpu: i3 6100
mobo: msi z170-a pro
ram: corsair value 4gb ddr4 2166
psu: antec eartchwatt 380w
crucial ssd 240gb

I wouldn't run a Fermi housefire off a 380W PSU, but it's very unlikely to be the problem if you're getting no output at all. It'd buckle under load if it was a PSU issue.

It should start but it is right on the limit (if you were under load it would barely be enough). That being said try it in another pc with a better PSU if you can before declaring it dead.

Gonna try it in another pc tomorrow.
According to PcPartPicker the psu should be just enough

as a last resort you can use the blue side of an eraser (pic related) to "erase" the contacts. It is abrasive enough to clean them up but not enough to do damage. It has revived quite a few gpus and ram sticks for me. Be careful not to flex the pcb too much.

Look in the BIOS there should be an Setting which decides if Video output goes over iGPU or PCIe GPU.
>>
>>55670041
Okay, thank you, gonna try if nothing else works
>>
>>55670069
I have tried with an ati firepro v4900, and it works fine

Also checked the Power connectors if the GPU has any.
