literally everyone i know tries mint and then gets frustrated because it doesn't work exactly like Windows and reverts.

DESU for me it's better than ubuntu because modern ubuntu distros are susceptible to some windows based malware due to .NET compatibility. this is turned off in Mint by default. No want.
