Even though this is probably b8, https everywhere changed its icon. It is now represented by the little S.

pretty useless
most sites default to https now and if they don't the don't have it implemented in any form, or have it put behind a paywall.

if a site isn't https I blacklist it anway

Except they don't. Most sites that offer HTTPS default to HTTP for me.
