I feel like a pic related when trying to sell my old GTX 970. I have to convince people that 3.5 GB doesn't matter and Nvidia doesn't gimp their old cards.

3.5 doesn't matter. Not in comparison to 4 anyway. People wouldn't be talking about it at all if nvidia hadn't fucked up their press releases before the card came out. It was a good deal either way.

Personally, I'm looking to buy a 970.
I've got a GTX 770 and I think it'll make a great upgrade.
I've always been more less a generation behind. e.g. 570->670->770 and now I'm looking to get a 970/RX480.
