How do I stop surfing the Internet and finally make myself

If you can't summon the will to put down 4chan to read (and work through the exercises- very important) a programming book then you won't have the will to work through the book day after day.

I have a similar problem.
I have so many books to read it's intimidating as fuck.
I spent all day yesterday reading and barely made a dent in to my bookpile. Today I'm taking a "day off" from all the reading.

Stuff I still want to read:

and what am I going to do with all the knowledge I'm preparing to hoard with all these books? Shitpost on /g/. Literally the only reason I'm doing all the reading and learning.

It's possible today, you should take advantage of it if you don't like doing anything productive.

I read through and did all the exercises in 'the absolute beginners guide to C' and it was such a shitty book and i barely learned jack shit because the book barely scratched the surface of the language. now i have like 6 more books i could read that are all probably better in every way but i just can't bring myself to do it.
